Black Voters Matter is always looking for volunteers to join our movement of spreading love and building power in our communities from texting, postcard writing, relational organizing, fundraising, community events and more!

Our volunteers assist with various issues that face our communities, such as:

  • Voting rights

  • Mass incarceration

  • Environmental and Climate Justice

  • Police Reform

  • Financial Freedom

  • Healthcare

  • Affordable Housing

Volunteers are a vital part of our power building team. Here are just some of the ways that you helped us to spread love and power across the country:

  • Texting volunteers sent over 13 million messages that informed people across the country about local elections and inspired community involvement.
  • Postcard volunteers sent 16,000 postcards encouraging people to fight for environmental, educational, legal, and health equity while underscoring the importance of using our voices to speak out.
  • 25 new volunteer attorneys joined our 501c3 Program and guided 33 BVM partners through the journey of formalizing their nonprofit and officially becoming a 501c3.
  • 430 students from colleges across the south joined our Power Building Team. Your passion for social justice showed through in your words that you shared with us about the importance of voting and volunteering.
